Compensation:  $125,000 - $145,000 per year. You are eligible to a Short-Term Incentive Plan with the target at 7.5% of your annual earnings, terms and conditions apply.

Product Manager, EMR (Remote: USA) 

Job Overview: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Manager to lead the integration efforts between electronic medical record (EMR) systems and our laboratory that provides patient testing services and healthcare digital platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both healthcare IT systems and the major EMR vendors, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex EMR integration projects in the healthcare industry. This role is for you if you are strategy-oriented, tech-savvy, self-driven, and obsessed with creating user friendly software products.

  • This role works with Personal Health Information (PHI) on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form, and therefore training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training will be required upon hire.

Essential Functions:

  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for integrating our customer’s EMR systems with our IT infrastructure and platforms, aligning with organizational objectives and market demands.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify integration opportunities, understand customer needs, and stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders including IT teams, commercial leaders, and executive leadership to gather requirements, communicate project updates, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Product Planning: Define and prioritize integration features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market requirements, and business priorities, ensuring the delivery of high-value solutions.
  • Roadmap Execution: Contribute to cross-functional teams in the execution of integration projects, including scoping, resource allocation, timeline management, and coordination of development efforts.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: In collaboration with downstream product marketing, develop and execute go-to-market plans for new integration features and releases, including product messaging, positioning, pricing, and sales enablement materials.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers and key stakeholders to gather feedback, validate product concepts, and prioritize feature enhancements based on user needs and market demand.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of integration initiatives, analyze data to identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous optimization of product performance.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure that integration solutions adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards for data privacy, security, and interoperability, such as HIPAA, and HL7/FHIR.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships with internal teams, including development, QA, sales, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment and effective execution of product initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor integration performance metrics and identify opportunities for enhancement or optimization to drive ongoing improvements in workflow efficiency and patient care quality.
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing healthcare data privacy and security, including HIPAA, HITECH, and GDPR.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex integration projects from initiation to completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital product management, with a focus on healthcare IT or systems integration.
  • Demonstrated expertise in electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, or DICOM
