BWXT is currently seeking a Business Process and Data Specialist for its Advanced Technologies location in Lynchburg, VA!

Job Description / Duties:

• Develop business processes, procedures, and automation tools.
• Develop, maintain, and publish weekly & monthly KPI reports in Power BI, Excel, or other third-party tools.
• Assist in the development of system interfacing between multiple software platforms for data sharing purposes.
• Provide data manipulation, analytics, and presentation expertise to various functional groups within Advanced Technologies based on business needs.
• Participate in projects to provide standardization and process improvements to existing business process.

 

Job Qualifications / Requirements:

• An Associate's degree is required. 
• Must have at least six (6) years of related experience. 
• Must have demonstrable process and data management skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including technical writing skills.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance, whichever is required.

 

Additional Desired Skillsets:

• Microsoft Power BI experience including data setup and report development.
• Experience with workflow and low-code software development using platforms like Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Knowledge of general accounting/financial methods and analytics.
• Experience with Six-Sigma, Lean, and/or other process improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP processes related to product engineering, manufacturing, and procurement.
• Familiarity SQL-based table queries and data management.
• Five (5) years related experience.

 

 

The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $62,000 and $109,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
