Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.

Project Engineers (PE) learn production and programmatic operations and employ their manufacturing skill set in planning and execution collaboratively between the factory and they program.   They analyze product specifications to determine appropriate designs and processes that support these customer requirements. You would apply your skills to develop, test, modify, and create solutions through a collaborative effort with various teams. PEs build technical depth in manufacturing processes, are a liaison to the program representing the factory’s interest and are accountable for improvement and optimization.

What You Will Do
Managing large scale design, control, and improvements to the manufacturing process
Developing Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool, and fixture designs
Creating and managing Material Master and MBOM requests.
Establishing engineering design requirements tailored to manufacturing processes
Developing and implementing manufacturing process control and performance monitoring
Leading factory wide strategic improvement projects
Addressing large scale quality issues that affect the factory
Developing influential relationships with internal customers
Participation in ERB/CCB, LOB, production increment planning as the program Ops representative
Providing Effectivities for Variances/IR’s/CN’s
Help with communication between the factory and the program:
Supporting manufacturing areas daily with process troubleshooting, incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP
Leading non-conforming material analysis with root cause and corrective action analysis as required
Leading Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using Six Sigma principles and data driven decision making
Providing real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators; in-house as well as the supply base.
Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics into processes
Leading corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence
