Job Description
The Freelance Technical Director role is an ad hoc position, with hours typically scheduled from 4am to 12pm, or adjusted as necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the Director to create and deliver visually captivating and varied subject shots.
- Partner with technical and news personnel to meet production requirements for live, recorded, and automated programming under supervision of the Director and Operations management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in live, multi-camera studio production.
- Ability to identify and trouble shoot video routing issues.
- Expertise in operating Grass Valley Keyenne Switcher.
- Proficiency with Ross Tria Software.
- Proficiency with Ross Overdrive Software.
- Familiarity with Evertz Magnum Software.
- Knowledge of Guntermann & Drunck KVM.
- Experienced with Crestron Automation.
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a fast paced, dynamic studio environment.
- Willingness to work flexible, non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays.

In accordance with applicable NYC law, the estimated hourly rate for this role is $40.00 - $48.00 commensurate with experience.
