The Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for leading and continuously improving Serverfarm’s EHS programs across U.S. data center operations. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture across construction, operations, and corporate teams.  The ideal candidate brings deep EHS expertise in mission-critical facilities, industrial, or construction environments, with the ability to operate at both strategic and site levels in a fast-paced, high-reliability industry. 

Key Accountabilities

EHS Leadership & Strategy 

• Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulatory requirements. 

• Serve as the subject matter expert for EHS across data center operations, construction projects, and vendor activities. 

• Establish KPIs, metrics, and reporting dashboards to track performance and drive continuous improvement. 

Regulatory Compliance 

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and applicable state and local regulations. 

• Manage environmental permitting, reporting, and compliance programs (air, water, waste, hazardous materials). 

• Lead regulatory inspections, audits, and agency interactions. 

Reporting & Performance Management 

• Develop and maintain EHS dashboards, reports, and management review summaries. 

• Track KPIs and trends to support continuous improvement and executive-level decision-making. 

• Provide regular updates to operations leadership on EHS performance and emerging risks. 

Risk Management & Incident Prevention 

• Conduct hazard analyses, job safety analyses (JSAs), and risk assessments for data center operations and construction activities. 

• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans. 

• Oversee contractor safety programs and enforce compliance with Serverfarm standards. 

Training & Safety Culture 

• Design and deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and site leadership. 

• Promote a strong safety culture through engagement, communication, and leadership presence at sites.
