The Project Management Director, Corporate HR is responsible for overseeing and managing various HR transformation projects within the organization. This role involves planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet Danaher Corporate HR’s strategic goals. The leader will collaborate with HR leaders and business leaders to ensure project success. The transformation projects will change over time.
 

This position is part of the Corporate HR DBS/PMO team. We have a strong preference for the candidate to be located on site in Washington, DC in the United States. Relocation assistance may be considered per business needs.

In this role, you will have the opportunity and be expected to:

  • Project Management: Manage end-to-end HR transformation projects, including planning, scope management, timeline development, resource allocation, deliverables tracking, change management, communications, and risk management. Drive project execution to meet defined goals and objectives, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including HR leaders, business leaders, cross-functional teams and DBS/PMO team. Communicate project expectations to team members. Liaise with stakeholders on an ongoing basis to ensure alignment, engagement and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Resource Management: Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Manage project resources effectively.

  • Progress Tracking: Develop and track metrics / key performance indicators, project milestones and deliverables. Provide regular progress reports, including budgeting and financial business implications, to key stakeholders.

  • Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with company policies, laws, and regulations.

  • Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks and dependencies. Develop counter measures to mitigate risks.

  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and recommend process enhancements. Conduct project post-mortems to identify successful and unsuccessful elements.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree, with clear understanding of how a business operates and solid business acumen.

  • Experience: Proven experience in project managing large-scale, global, complex projects involving organizational change, process optimization and technology deployment - preferably in HR or a related area. Experience with different project management methodologies and tools.

  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work under pressure in a cross functional team environment. Strong understanding of change management principles and practices.
     

Travel requirements:

  • Ability to travel domestically and/or overseas – 40%-60% travel, as business needs require

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.)

  • Change Management certification (e.g. Prosci)

  • Knowledge of industry best practices in HR transformation
     

The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role a
