Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to be based in Raleigh, NC.

This position is expected to begin in May 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Performing CADD drafting and introductory-level design of projects using MicroStation, InRoads, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D software programs.
• Preparing basic engineering calculations, including quantity estimates.
• Providing reviews of plans, calculations, and reports prepared by others.
• Contributing to the writing, typing, editing, and/or formatting of technical letters and reports.
• Completing field assignments in support of design work, including making measurements, taking photographs, and checking for mapping accuracy.
• Attending project meetings, including occasional evening meetings such as public information sessions.
• Utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook programs.
• Attending training as directed and arranged by AECOM.
• Assisting with AECOM Project Delivery System requirements by organizing, filing, distributing, and handling digital and paper project documents.
• Completing all work in a reliable and professional manner.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or other related engineering field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Civil, Structural, or other related engineering field.
• Ability to draft using CADD.
• Familiarity with structural engineering computer software.
