Microbiology Laboratory Assistant - 1st Shift

This role is Monday - Friday/ FULL-TIME 40hrs. 

Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Summary:

The Microbiology Laboratory Assistant will support laboratory routine activities including tracking, assigning, and staging of samples for testing in-house and external testing if required. Additionally, the Microbiology Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for managing sample waste generated from testing, data processing/entry, ordering and keeping inventory, and stocking supplies for the laboratory. 

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for sample management including Sample Login/Logout, Waste Processing
• Perform sanitization of samples and supplies into cleanroom.
• Perform sanitization of the cleanroom if required.
• Perform laboratory data entry/trending.
• File Paperwork
• Perform laboratory cleaning.
• Perform biohazard bin removal.
• Responsible for stocking materials and inventory tracking.
• Ensure GMP compliance in all activities performed.
• Perform other additional job-related duties as required.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Associate degree or equivalent laboratory experience preferred.
• 0-2 years laboratory experience

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to adhere to cGMP and GDP requirements.
• Ability to communicate and work with team members in an effective manner. 
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to wear Proper Protective Equipment 
• Frequently sitting, standing, and walking throughout multiple areas on the production floor
• Must be able to lift totes containing samples.
