Your Mission
As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) focusing on Framework and Automation, you will play a pivotal role in the design, configuration, and deployment of test frameworks and automation tools for our Satellites Assembly lines and tooling. You will directly support the Manufacturing Engineering ensuring the seamless integration of test methodologies and automation systems into our satellite manufacturing processes.
Your Day-to-Day
- Define and develop comprehensive Technical Specifications for test frameworks and automation tools.
- Continuously improve, validate, and maintain the Test Framework to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Enhance, validate, and maintain the Test Database for robust data management and analysis.
- Develop, refine, validate, and maintain the Test Automation System to streamline testing processes.
- Create, refine, validate, and maintain additional software tools to complement the test framework and automation system.
- Supervise acceptance tests, ensuring adherence to specifications and comprehensive documentation.
- Provide support to the operations team for troubleshooting and maintaining associated systems.
- Actively participate in and drive projects aimed at optimizing the Test Framework to meet the evolving needs of the test development team.
- Maintain thorough task and action documentation using issue tracking tools.
- Assist in the configuration of developed versions for seamless integration into the manufacturing environment.

Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on test framework development and automation.
- Proficiency in relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Experience with scripting languages and tools such as TCL and Python.
- Proficiency in compiled languages and tools, including C/C++, and Java.
- Strong command of Linux operating system and scripting with bash.
- Knowledge of web languages and tools, including HTML, JavaScript, and REST.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Git and SVN.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure.
- Knowledge of space protocols and standards (e.g., ECSS, CNC, CCSDS, SCOS 2000), low-level communication protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP, NATS, CAN, SpaceWire), checkout software (e.g., Terma CCS5/TSC), and user needs and experience analysis.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to assertively drive projects forward.
- Demonstrated autonomy in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in test methodology within an industrial context.
- Practical experience in traditional telecommunications satellite manufacturing.
- Familiarity with various industries such as communication systems and web service development.
