Acequia Animal Hospital, a beautiful full-service small animal veterinary practice, is currently seeking a motivated veterinary technician for part or full-time employment.  We provide an ideal environment while providing Vet Techs the guidance and mentorship they need to grow. The ideal candidate must be skilled with IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, dental cleaning, blood draws, proper restraint techniques, proper use of all in-house laboratory equipment, and digital radiographs.  We are well known in the community for our work with exotic animals and the Great Horned Owl Rescue program!  Our doctors see a wide variety of pets, from furred to feathered and finned!

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital or animal clinic
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Knowledge of animal care and behavior
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in computer skills and medical record-keeping software
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
