• Salary Range: $105.060 - $160,220 annually (Determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant.)
• NY Positions: A 5% salary uplift is provided on top of base salary for positions that are worked in New York City, which is subject to change.

Job Summary:

Bechtel is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Dry Systems) – to join the Mechanical Engineering department within the Manufacturing and Technology Business Unit (M&T). The prime roles and responsibilities include working on the project to develop an area from conceptual phase to EPC phase, plan and conduct independent work to support in evaluation, selection, application and adaption of design on a project. Should be familiar with applicable industry standards and codes, accepted design practices and quality standards. #LI-AM3

 

Major Responsibilities:

• Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work in mechanical discipline in a project or staff group. Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements.
• Performs work using Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
• Plans, coordinates, or prepares equipment or work specifications, material requisition, technical bid evaluations and award recommendations.
• Coordinates engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors and between other groups.
• Assumes a lead technical role over other engineers or project subgroups for completing specific tasks as directed.
• Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to Supervisor and/or project management.
