The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Program Coordinator, Health Equity based out of our National Center office in Dallas, Texas.
The Senior Program Coordinator will be a member of the Health Equity business unit. Primary duties will be to manage and provide support for projects related to the Association's Scholars Program and other work assigned across the Health Equity business unit as needed.

Responsibilities
- Customer service management database management consisting of essential and confidential stakeholder, scholar and mentor information including personal identifying information, financials, liability waiver release forms, terms and conditions forms, emergency contact information, scholar applications and all forms/posters related to all functional activities of the program.
- Cross collaborates with the Marketing and Communication team to provide content for social media platforms, newsletters, and department specific website.
- Arrange Scholar/Mentor program launch activities within markets, work with local offices to include key volunteers and donors, create invitations, programs and digital presentations as needed.
- Event Planning Support: Work with Association Scholars Team and Meeting and Planning team to facilitate communication with attendees and to coordinate logistics (travel, lodging, and transportation) for program related travel and professional development meetings and conferences including but not limited to Scientific Sessions, Association Scholars Symposium, International Stroke Conference, etc.
- Event Execution Support: Provide onsite support and execution for Scholars Program meetings and professional development events.
- Grant Reporting: Work in connection with Corporate Relations, Mission Advancement, and Grants Administration departments to maintain accurate program performance metrics and key accomplishments for quarterly grant/funder reports.
- Alumni Engagement Support: Work with National Program Lead to create and maintain accurate contact and academic and career progression for current and past scholars.
- Prepare and distribute stakeholder materials which may include updating on-line content, distribution of field resources and materials, evaluation/metrics needs, etc.
- Working in connection with the business unit operations personnel to: track financials including project expenses, process team expense reports and invoices, invoice stipends, and support scholars with financial reporting.
- Meeting and project management to include: scheduling meetings, organizing prioritized agenda items, preparing and gathering necessary reports and data, taking detailed notes and managing follow-up action items in a timely manner.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to organize and manage assigned projects/events. Includes providing high level customer service and collaboration with high profile stakeholders and senior level management.
Qualifications
- Three (3) years of experience in medium to large scale project coordination
- Three (3) years of experience in budget management. Experience in non-profit grant management and reporting is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to draft, edit, and proofread written communications and design effective presentations in accordance with Association brand guidelines.
- Proven track record in cross functional effectiveness, detail orientation, follow-up/follow-through are top priorities for the job.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have proficient knowledge and skill with technology software Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.

- Experience in event or meeting planning for internal/external events
