About the Role

 

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist/Analytics Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to drive strategic business decisions and uncover valuable insights.


Responsibilities:


 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions
  • Design and maintain efficient data pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
  • Perform exploratory data analysis, data mining, and data visualization to identify opportunities and potential risks
  • Utilize SQL to query and manipulate data from various databases and data warehouses
  • Leverage Power BI to create interactive dashboards and reports for data visualization and storytelling
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation, analysis, and automation
  • Communicate complex analytical findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and related technologies

About You

 

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field OR relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
  • Expertise in Power BI for data visualization and reporting
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis and automation
  • Proficient in data modeling for analytics applications
  • Solid understanding of statistical and machine learning techniques, including regression, clustering, decision trees, and neural networks
  • Experience with Snowflake a plus
  • Experience with Geospatial data and analytics a plus
  • Experience with water quality data a plus
  • Experience with Equis a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
