Role description:

 

The candidate will join the GM AeJ Prime Origination team with key responsibility focuses on identifying clients to onboard to our equities prime platform and contribute to the new and existing client revenues; Owns onboarding responsibilities, work with compliance, KYC, onboarding functions including operations, Legal, Risk and equities team to document and integrate clients onto Nomura.

 

 

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

 

• At least 5-10 years of relevant sales/origination experience, good understanding of equities, prime, global markets products and operating landscape/requirements
• Sales talent, Origination & Account Management skills to pitch clients into Prime platform, product & services, to identify/recruit/build relationships with clients, identify their needs and accompany them throughout the delivery of services and transactions
• Significant client engagement experience, including frequent client calls/visits, engaging with prospects, quick reactivity when opportunities arise
• Good international skills and be able to engage directly with client on questions relating to our products offering, platform capability, trading & market microstructure that are relating to Equity Prime activities
• Product & Market Knowledge: strong knowledge of the markets in our scope (in particular equities products), as well as cross-assets/cross-products
• Excellent understanding and experience of owning the life cycle of the client onboarding and work with functions on the onboarding journey, including internal and regulatory requirements
• Experience in producing marketing materials and highlight product differentiation
• Market Intelligence: Know the market, the needs of each client segment, what competitors do in terms of products/Services, as well as best practices
• Strong collaboration and agility, attention to details are main expectations of the soft skills requirement
• Strong understanding of risk & compliance culture: understand local rules and regulations of market(s) and comply with all internal guidelines pre- and post-trade (notably, but not only, such as KYC, credit pre-trade check, suitability check and process, appropriate and validated marketing documents by relevant stakeholders including Compliance department, appropriate legal documentation and regulatory requirements,
• High standard of conduct both ethical and operational conduct which are core to our business.
