The Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Supervisor, Clinical Business Operations to work on the UHealth Campus. The Supervisor, Clinical Business Operations supervises the prompt resolution of problems that arise in daily clinical operations. The incumbent collaborates with other service areas in providing a consistent standard of service across the operations. The Supervisor, Clinical Business Operations monitors adherence to policies and ensures procedures are efficient and patient centered.
Designs and generates clinical reports. Such as Press Ganey, NICE, Open encounters, etc.
Act as a coach and mentor for lower-level staff as they develop in their role.
Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the division and compliance with University policies and procedures.
Ensures employees are trained on the controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.
Assist administrator with preparation of clinical productivity reports with data such as RVUs, Utilization rate, New Patient Access.
Facilitates the prompt resolution of problems related to pre and post care that arise in daily clinical operations. This employee will also be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of a clinical team with several faculty members, staff physicians and advanced nurse practitioners.
Develops and promotes the use of effective methods of communicating with physicians, managers, peers, trainees, and staff on a regular basis.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders with credentialing, enrollment, and on-boarding and offboarding of clinical faculty and staff.
Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of clinical reimbursement and managed care issues.
Improve access to care for SDGs with high demand such as Sarcoma, GI and Breast.
Communicates any patient flow issues to appropriate managing staff. Initiates performance management processes to address on-going performance issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
