About the role

Hello potential future Oatly employee. It’s us, the original oatmilk company that started in Sweden back 25 or so years ago and has since expanded to the U.S. where we’ve continued growing at a rate such that we need more brilliant minds to come work with us to keep the momentum going and the oatmilk flowing.

Sustainability, health, and transparency are the core values that guide everything we do. Basically, we exist to make it easy for people to eat better and live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources in the process. If any of this resonates with you, then maybe you’d like work for Oatly, too. Now onto the formal stuff.

  • Partner directly with product development, global R&D and nutrition teams, and portfolio management to provide North American nutrition perspective and expertise in new and existing product development, so that products fit clearly within the context of healthy North American diets
  • Provide intelligence and high-level research-based evidence in nutrition to inform decision making for several departments, with a main focus on regulatory and corporate affairs
  • Help articulate a clear, ownable nutrition narrative for Oatly North America and its products with a clear point of view on Oatly’s role in North American diets, the strengths of its products, and the company’s commitment to science-based product development and nutrition thought leadership
  • Partner with internal communications director to ensure internal Oatly teams are educated on and confident in the company’s nutrition narrative and vision, as well as the specific nutrition underpinnings of the North American product portfolio
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of related nutrition experts across various industries (media, academia, medical/clinical, corporate) and demographics for the company to call on for expert consultation and partnership
  • In partnership with public relations, public affairs and internal comms, develop a cohesive communications strategy for Oatly’s ongoing nutrition narrative, to be used with employees, media, consumers, customers, partners, policymakers and the general public
  • Act as public spokesperson and Oatly nutrition expert with media, government, and other public audiences
