Tasks of Position

The following are core and essential responsibilities of this position. Associates are responsible for completing any and all duties assigned as required for the successful operation of our business. All associates are required to perform their job duties in a manner which upholds the integrity and honesty of our company.

• Reporting for assigned shifts on time, and on a regular basis, capable of communicating clearly and demonstrating suitable physical abilities to safety perform assigned tasks and duties, prepared to provide excellent service and leadership.
• Providing exceptional service to our guests and associates by offering a spectacular environment in which to shop and work. These services include: scrubbing, buffing, vacuuming, mopping, emptying refuse receptacles, cleaning, and sanitizing restrooms.
• Traveling to assigned stores on an as needed basis and performing the following duties:
• Training, scheduling, delegating and supervising floor crews in assigned geographical area.
• Performing floor finishing duties in each store, including stripping and waxing floors.
• Operating and training in the proper, safe, and correct use of industrial equipment and supplies including, but not limited to: power floor cleaning equipment, cleaning solution mixing stations, cardboard balers, and vacuums.
• Cleaning the following: rooms, hallways, lobbies, break rooms, rest rooms, corridors, rugs, carpets, fixtures, and stairways. Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors. Washing walls, windows, door panels, and counter tops. Emptying wastebaskets and ashtrays. Transporting trash and waste to disposal area.
• Stocking, ordering, replacing, and replenishing bathroom supplies, light bulbs, and all other supplies necessary to perform maintenance of the store.
• Transporting small equipment or tools between departments and store locations as needed.
•  Mentoring new associates or associates who are new to the department or task and assuring a positive learning environment.
• Ensuring all work performed in the department is completed in accordance with all local, state, federal and company rules, regulations, and policies regarding workplace safety, sanitation/housekeeping standards, and guest services to “Make Our Guests Crazy About Us!” 
• Participating actively in the Maintenance Department’s accident reduction plan including: monitoring displays for trip hazards or instability, observing safe lifting techniques, and recognizing safety features of all machinery, store evacuation plan, and robbery policy.
