What Planning Process Excellence contributes to Cardinal Health

Cardinal Health's Planning Process Excellence and Program Management team is responsible for Identifying, developing, implementing, training, and communicating strategic programs across the planning organization that involve cross-functional collaboration, including teams and stakeholders within planning, marketing, distribution operations, transportation, technology, and sales.  This team is directly responsible for executing the program roadmap for the planning organization in alignment with the Vice President of Planning’s strategic priorities for the organization.  This will include programs to address areas such as process simplification, automation, technology utilization improvements, and cost savings for the organization.  Members of this team are accountable for delivering upon identify strategic goals while working within the constraints of budget, schedule, and scope.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver complex projects across a variety of strategic areas including automation, workflow maturity, simplification, metrics maturity, and process improvement with multiple functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop and report on KPIs for each project (delivery and performance) across the planning team, including business outcomes from each project such as service level improvements, process simplification, technology adoption, efficiency, and savings.
  • Utilize Program and Project governance systems, including operating mechanisms for Project Management Budget/proforma governance, stakeholder communications, and milestone completion.
  • Develop and implement training in accordance with each strategic project, including partnering with Cardinal Health’s learning and leader development team for scalability of program, role, and process changes across the organization.
  • Maintain program governance and communication; engage stakeholders and decisions makers; and establish positive cross-functional program support across the portfolio of projects.
  • Maintain and achieve clear goals, and deliver identified business outcomes for each program across a breadth of cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 4+ years of experience, preferred within Demand/Supply Planning and planning systems.
  • Experience in Process Improvement and automation with demonstrated experience in delivering business process excellence with measurable results highly preferred.
  • Knowledge in Financial acumen and the ability to develop financial business outcomes for each project, including ROI, Pay Back Period, and Program Cost accounting highly preferred.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Strong technical acumen in SAP, WMS, WES, APS, and similar systems across the supply chain highly preferred.
  • Exceptional Communication (written and verbal) to communicate at all levels with influence highly preferred.
  • Strong Power-Point visualization skill to present to global audiences, articulating succinct executive-level descriptions of program updates/results highly preferred.
  • Change advocacy and leadership: demonstrated peer leadership, cross-functional leadership, coaching, and organizational leadership, including culture change, creating followership for future-state visions, and managing priorities.
  • Ability to simplify complex problems and processes preferred.
  • Relentless curiosity and drive for improvement/best practices, including the ability to simplify transactional business process, reduce hand-offs, and eliminate waste preferred.

Anticipated salary range: $78,500 - $112,100
