<p><b>Job Description Summary</b></p>The Senior Director, Global Publications and Foundational Content is accountable for high-quality, right-first-time scientific communication deliverables across a defined Therapeutic Area (TA), executing in partnership with Portfolio Scientific Communications strategy and the defined Scientific Communication Plan for different portfolio assets.Compelling and compliant scientific content has the potential to enable industry-leading launch excellence and change the course of clinical adoption<p><br/> </p><p><b>Job Description</b></p><p>This position can be based in either Novartis, Dublin or London offices.</p><p></p><p>The remit of responsibilities centers on globally applicable content elements aligned to the Scientific Communications Platform (SCP), which must be delivered in adherence with internal and external guidelines as well as regulatory compliance (e.g., <span>Global Publication</span> Practice). While this role plays an active role in producing global publications <br/>and medical communications, it also leads a team (20-25 associates) of <span>world-class scientific</span> writers, publication and content managers, and graphic designers, proactively <br/>managing performance, capability building and career development of associates in the domain.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Accountable for delivery of scientific communication tactics across a <span>defined Therapeutic</span> Area (TA), executing in partnership with Portfolio <span>Scientific Communications</span> Associate Director/Director and other stakeholders and aligned with the defined Scientific Communication Plan for different portfolio assets</p></li><li><p>Accountable for high-quality deliverables in adherence with internal and <span>external guidelines</span> as well as regulatory compliance, notably Good Publication Practice (GPP)</p></li><li><p>Continuously identify opportunities to creatively transform scientific communication deliverables and adapt to the evolving landscape of evidence dissemination and needs of end-users of the content (HCPs, patients, caregivers etc.)</p></li><li><p>Provide people, functional and operational leadership of a scientific writing team for an assigned TA, to execute on the Scientific Communications Plan.</p></li><li><p>Support the Executive Director, Global Publications &amp; Foundational Content to develop and deliver on objectives, metrics, strategy, key initiatives, and implementation</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders, internal peers, and cross-functional teams to understand needs, develop and deliver content development solutions</p></li><li>Actively identify improvement opportunities, drive operational excellence, track progress, outcomes and best practices for continuous improvement of deliver</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Requirements: </b></p><p>Minimum: PhD level degree in life sciences/healthcare.
