The role is the capability leader for all AEM and front-end development within the digital delivery team. This role is critical to establishing high quality digital assets for Medibank that are reusable and supportable.</span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><span><b>The Responsibilities:</b></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Design and develop maintainable, secure, scalable, performant and well-tested software.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Participate in activities include planning, application design, coding, testing, build and deployment scripting, and configuration in all relevant domains and related technologies and interacting with project stakeholders.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Design and develop components to support architectural test patterns using best practice and design patterns.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Translate product management expectations into fully developed functionality that meets the customers’ requirements.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Identify and implement best practices for development and testing processes.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Stay current with emerging technologies and trends relevant to the industry.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Perform production support activities if needed depending on how the team has chosen to do Dev and Ops activities.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Meet restoration of service targets as per incident severity matrix</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Regularly review production incident trends to adapt quality standards and patterns.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Champion ongoing standards and control mechanisms to ensure high quality extensible, maintainable and stable software.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Contribute to the ongoing technology roadmap to drive out the vision of Medibank digital as a destination platform for prospects and members.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to high coding standards.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Take an active role in mentoring less experienced software engineers to develop a strong team, skills and culture around integration that crosses the development, support, infrastructure and data teams.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Deliver 3 agreed efficiency improvements per year.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Contribute productivity and product innovation ideas, and champion adoption</span></span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><span><b>About You</b></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Solid understanding and hands-on programming and debugging skills on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Content management system and Apache OSGi frameworks.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Solid understanding of HTML, CSS and preprocessors (LESS/SASS)</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Understanding of Typescript, JavaScript and modern JS frameworks (e.g.: React, Angular, Vue)</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Experience with frontend tooling (NPM/Yarn, Webpack, Eslint)</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Experience in Java and used build tools such as Maven, Gradle.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Developing and understanding of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) components and Apache OSGi frameworks.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Experience in using JSON and RESTful services for applications.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Experience in writing automated tests (e.g.: Mockito, Junit, Jest, Karma, Jasmine</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Exposure to Cloud Services (e.g.: Amazon AWS, Azure, GDP)</span></span></li> <li><span><span>GIT, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub or equivalent</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Advanced programming &am
