As our Systems UK Centre of Excellence Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of technical projects.

Running programmes and/or projects daily, on behalf of the project board and/or Programme Manager, you will be required to provide regular feedback to the Management team on the progress of projects including escalation of any possible issues or delays.

Ensuring that the programme and/or project produces the required products to the required standard within specified constraints of time and cost, you will be responsible for producing a result which achieves the benefits defined within respective business cases.

What you’ll be doing
Assisting with the generation of a projects dossier and RFP/tender exercises, you will be required to initiate and manage IT Infrastructure projects.

Deputising for the Programme Manager when necessary, you will be required to direct and motivate the Programme and Project team, planning and monitoring programme and/or project status.

Managing budgetary control of assigned IT projects, you will manage risk, including the development of contingency plans.

Liaising with and supporting functional areas, you will ensure that the full requirements of the project and other departmental tasks are achieve by taking full responsibility of resources and initiate corrective action when needed.

What you’ll bring

As an experienced Project Manager, preferably from within an IT environment, you will hold Prince2 Methodology accreditation or similar (APMP preferred).

With a conscientious and proactive approach to risk management, you will be able to manage stakeholders, external suppliers and multiple Project Managers simultaneously.
