Grow here. </strong></p><p>Are you ready to join a team of talented engineers and shape the future of Energy infrastructure in the Republic of Ireland?</p><p><strong>About our Team.</strong></p><p>Committed to addressing the complete spectrum of energy challenges, we offer expertise in the following sectors: renewable energy (wind and solar), Battery Energy Storage Systems, hydropower, bioenergy (including energy from waste), energy efficiency and carbon management, thermal power generation, nuclear power, transmission and distribution- large programmes like GGP.</p><p>The Transmission &amp; Distribution (T&amp;D) Engineering team provides a range of services from the initial concept through Power Systems Analysis, Cabling, Substations, Transmission and Distribution Infrastructure, System Balancing and Compensation, Protection Systems, SCADA, Communications, Converter Station Design, HVDC Systems and Interconnectors including overseas links.This opportunity will have a focus upon large-scale grid infrastructure, grid connections, and private networks. The work can be varied and there will be a lot of opportunity to learn in the role.</p><p><em>Here’s what you’ll do:</em></p><ul><li>Primary plant layouts for HV substations.</li><li>Equipment specifications for HV Plant and associated equipment.</li><li>Providing engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.</li><li>Owners’ Engineer role on HV substation/Cable and OHL projects.</li><li>Providing HV design input to renewable energy projects e.g., Battery storage, Solar, Hydro and Wind generation.</li><li>Provide professional services to clients in Ireland/UK and overseas.</li></ul><p><strong>Enjoy the Perks. </strong></p><p>At AECOM, you'll enjoy a range of core and personalised benefits designed to support your future and well-being, customised to fit your lifestyle. Take advantage of career development opportunities, our flexible hybrid working model to ensure a work-life balance that suits your lifestyle, technical practice networks, AECOM University, and volunteering days.</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?</strong></p><p><em>Here’s what we’re looking for:</em></p><ul><li>Experience of working on HV projects</li><li>A Degree in Electrical Engineering</li><li>Experience of working with major utilities or developers</li><li>Experience as a designer or as project engineer</li><li>Experience of developing specifications for substation control systems, transformers, GIS, and AIS switchgear.</li><li>Ability to work flexibly across multiple projects.</li><li>Fluency in English</li><li>Experience in Technical report writing</li></ul><p><em>Additional highly desirable experience:</em></p><ul><li>Experience of working on multi-discipline engineering projects</li><li>Chartered accreditation or working toward status</li><li>Consultancy experience</li><li>Experience in reviewing review detailed designs &amp; witnessing construction site activities.</li></ul><p>We celebrate diversity, including neurodiversity, and believe it enriches our team.
