Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to join our dynamic Space Launch Systems (SLS) team in Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position could be for various shifts (1st or 2nd).

This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role.
  • Experience with team building, developing and motivating employees.
  • Willingness to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends or holidays.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working on a NASA program.
  • Experience applying and implementing lean manufacturing principles in a production system.
  • Experience working on a developmental program.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci) or a similar application system.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience).

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Summary pay range: $96,900 - $131,100
