The Senior Director Supply Chain implements strategies within the Supply Chain organization (including, site scheduling, procurement, supply chain planning, warehousing, logistics and production support) to ensure financial and GMP audit/ inspection readiness at all times. Represents the Supply Chain function on the Site Leadership team and during customer meetings, audits, and Regulatory Inspections. Is responsible for implementing appropriate tracking tools and management systems to ensure achievement of all department KPIs linked the site, sector, and company goals.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible to maintain a safe working environment on site and within the supply chain environment.
Responsibilities include hiring, organizing, training and retaining energized, motivated, team-oriented staff. Will need to stress and carry forward operator training, education and advancement. Develop the technical, GMP and leadership skills of Supply Chain personnel and perform mid-year and annual reviews of supervised Supply Chain personnel.
Identifies Supply Chain responsibilities, work to be performed and timelines pertaining to area of responsibility.
Responsible for the adherence to the SAP execution blueprint standard and provide improvement opportunities to the blueprint when necessary.
Understand regulatory requirements and Lonza policies pertaining to the area of responsibility. Ensure Supply Chain policies or procedures are appropriate and establish and/or revise, as necessary. Ensure regulatory and customer inspection readiness and represent the department and participate in audits as required.
Collaborate and prioritize with Supply Chain leaders, other departments and/or customers to create an achievable work schedule and to ensure agreed upon timelines are met.
Represent Supply Chain and Lonza in customer meetings to receive/deliver information, request and requirements.
Manages the Production support department according to cGMP guidelines, responsible for the material supply, Tool boxing, cryopreservation, room cleaning process and audit readiness in non-classified, grade D and C area’s.
Manages the Warehousing department according to cGMP guidelines, responsible for activities within the Goods receipt, Warehousing, Picking, Inventory Control.
Manages the shipping and distribution department.
Manages the compliance team which is responsible for maintaining and improving quality throughout the different areas within the supply chain organization according to cGMP standards.
Measures throughput, performance and other appropriate metrics and report them to management on a monthly basis.
Manages Supply Chain expenses in alignment with budgetary commitment
Responsible and accountable for all medium- and short-term planning processes to ensure fully integrated asset capacity planning, labor planning and material planning.
