About the role

As an IT Business Analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Your responsibilities will include gathering requirements, ensuring quality, and facilitating communication among stakeholders. The IT Business Analyst will collaborate with business counterparts to ensure the successful implementation of projects while achieving target service levels on various change requests and/ or Projects. They are strategic problem-solvers who analyze an organization's processes and systems to identify areas for improvement, then translate those business needs into clear, actionable requirements for IT teams.
Essential Job Functions
• Work with stakeholders from various departments to understand their needs and challenges. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new software, systems, and process improvements.
• Analyze current business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or optimization. Develop and propose solutions that leverage technology to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
• Translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and technical requirements for development teams. Act as a liaison between business users and IT staff, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Utilize data analysis to identify trends, measure the impact of changes, and provide insights to stakeholders. Create and present reports, dashboards, and other visualizations to support informed decision-making.
• Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and scoping to testing, implementation, and post-launch support. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that the final solution meets the business requirements.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process maps, system documentation, and user guides.
• Facilitate the adoption of new systems or processes by providing training and support to end-users and communicating the benefits of the changes.
• Provide oversight and alignment across impacted teams; propose alternative delivery options when needed.
• Design integrated workflows demonstrating interoperability across systems, operations, and products.
Experience/ Training/ Education
• 3 to 5 years of experience in business analysis/process improvement or related field.
• Experience with configuring system settings and performing hands-on testing (unit, integration, acceptance).
• Proven experience in planning and deploying technology and process initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
• Strong ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data and business processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to identify root causes of problems and develop effective, logical solutions.
• A solid understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycles, and relevant technologies.
• Proficiency with business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence), and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative, fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills. Must have the ability to explain complex analyses to a wide variety of audiences.
• Ability to adapt to change and experiment with new ideas.
Working Conditions:
Works in offices close to those of top management. Generally, work forty hours per week; however, some work shifts or extended hours during busy periods. When schedules change and problems arise, working under pressure is unavoidable, but deadlines and goals must still be met. Due to system maintenance or IT-related support, you may be required to be on-call on an irregular work schedule, including weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays.
