Description:
GEICO is seeking a Senior TPM with a blend of technical and program management experience to help drive our insurance business transformation as we move from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission. In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and management of technology programs and projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions and guide technology decisions that align with business objectives. Cluster management is dedicated to realizing a secure, reliable, scalable, and highly efficient next-generation cluster management and orchestration platform on Kubernetes. The ideal candidate supporting cluster management will have a broad and deep infrastructure (on-prem and cloud-Azure/AWS) technical knowledge & program management experience to work alongside infrastructure engineering teams to drive multiple projects and programs supporting building of the next generation hybrid cloud stack platforms and migration of customer workloads to it.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior TPM, you will:
Define and implement strategies and processes to plan, monitor, and optimize programs and projects across several core areas.
Facilitate the definition of objectives, key results, and initiatives ensuring alignment to organizational and company goals.
Lead regular program and project planning including intake, prioritization, and resourcing.
Monitor and track performance against targeted key results, identify areas for optimization, and ensure timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
Drive the planning and execution of complex, cross functional technology programs and projects.
Identify stakeholders, create role clarity, and secure engagement and buy-in of cross functional project teams.
Build and maintain project plans including scope, schedule, and resourcing.
Coordinate the successful delivery of technology projects across teams including effectively managing dependencies, risks, and issues.
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization including executive leadership, to understand business needs and alignment of technology efforts.
Create transparency to progress, regularly communicating timelines, updates, and status of the programs and projects to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in project/program management, with a focus on private / public cloud computing or hyperscale datacenter infrastructure providers.
5+ years of proven experience with project management tools
5+ years of proven experience with agile development methodology
Demonstrated understanding of the underlying technology in core areas such cluster management, hybrid cloud stack, IaaS, PaaS and SRE.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects from initiation to completion.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain or equivalent education or work experience.
Annual Salary
$130,000.00 - $260,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
