We are seeking a Government Business Information Technology (IT) Co-op to join the Humana Government Business IT team in Fall 2025. Humana Government Business (HGB) is a subsidiary of Humana Inc, that focuses on a government contract called Tricare. HGB supports the Tricare East Region and administers the health program for military personnel and their family members.The Government Business IT Co-op will work closely with the Telephony and IVR team, assisting with contract requirement projects and technical problem resolution. In partnership with IT support teams, the co-op will research and resolve technical issues related to reporting, call routing, IVR pathways, workforce management, coding, development, and cloud buildout engagements.

Responsibilities include:
Responding to telephone, email, and online requests for technical support, with a focus on Telephony and IVR systems
Documenting, tracking, and monitoring issues using applicable systems and tools
Providing customer service and end-user training on related technologies
Researching and resolving technical problems of moderate complexity, typically escalated from first line support teams
Supporting reporting initiatives and optimization of IVR pathways and call routing
Assisting in workforce management activities and cloud buildout projects
The co-op will be exposed to departmental and organizational strategies, operating objectives, and learn to operate within a corporate environment while adhering to established policies and procedures. The role requires working within defined parameters but allows for some independent judgment regarding prioritization and timing of assignments.
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Sciences, or similar field.
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Must not require sponsorship to work in the U.S. now or in the future
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Have a strong academic history, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA being desired
Possess an interest in working in the healthcare industry
Previous experience working in a customer service-related job or internship

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
