About the job and your team
As a Senior Commercial Manager, your overall responsibilities involve various aspects within business development and asset ownership of our projects in European markets beyond Norway and Sweden, with a view to building a large-scale renewable project portfolio.
You will work closely with the leadership of our New Markets team and a range of internal experts in finance, legal, technical, M&A, projects & operations to ensure successful entry into new and development in existing markets.
Main tasks will be to:
- identify and evaluate potential projects and partner opportunities for Hydro REIN’s new markets in Europe.
- build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including project developers, technical experts, government agencies, utilities, and financial institutions.
- drive negotiations and deal structuring for project acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, or other business arrangements.
- develop and implement strategies for maximizing the performance and profitability of our projects and partnerships, from development through operations.

Your qualifications and skills
- 5-10 years’ experience within the renewable sector (wind/solar), preferably from business development and/or PPA/project origination or M&A.
- Higher education, preferably master’s degree in business or engineering.
- Professional proficiency in English. Other European languages will be seen as an advantage.
- Network in the European energy markets will be seen an advantage.
- Hands-on and eye for detail yet also able to present management with high quality decision (gate) information
