Job Summary:

We’re in search of a strategic, dynamic, commercially minded HR executive that enjoys pursuing ambitious goals and winning with a team to join us as the Vice President of HR for North American Retail. This role supports the revenue growth and commercial success of a diverse portfolio of business units by developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and processes specifically tailored to sales, marketing, placement, service, and operations functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with business leaders and understand the business strategy to identify opportunities to increase alignment with HR strategy and actions.
  • Define and drive execution of pragmatic solutions that support the successful integration of organizational changes, including strategic, structural, technological, and people-oriented changes.
  • Diagnose gaps between current and desired organization performance and help business leaders identify, prioritize and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures and processes.
  • Analyze data and surface trends to model and forecast future workforce requirements to support senior leaders in scenario and succession planning.
  • Review key business performance targets and their related talent implications with business leaders.
  • Play a pivotal role in managing change and uncertainty among employees, providing guidance and support throughout transitions. This involves clear communication, leadership alignment, and employee involvement to facilitate the change journey.
  • Ensure the HR team has the right skills and experience to drive sales and growth efficiently. Build and develop a high-performing team of HR leaders and business partners, driving accountability and results - set clear expectations, provide feedback, conduct performance reviews, and address challenges, as well as foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Act as the advocate for leading the talent management plans for the business with a focus on enhancing the quality of leaders and managers, building skills and capabilities of the workforce, and ensuring succession bench strength.
  • Align performance management, compensation, incentive and reward strategies to reinforce Acrisure’s client-centric, high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Oversee and take a proactive approach to Employee Relations, and make recommendations by providing guidance, interpreting policy and issue resolution. Handle and/or participate in complex employee relations issues.
  • Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to identify new opportunities for HR and to improve HR policies and initiatives.
  • Identify and drive the sharing of best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between field HR, HR operations and COEs to ensure HR services are aligned with internal client needs. This description is not meant to be all-inclusive and may be modified from time to time at the discretion of management.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR management or related field
  • Graduate degree preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with 5+ years in an HR role supporting one or more executives (at the top 3 levels of an organization with an employee population of ≥5,000)
  • Deep experience supporting senior level clients on long-term, strategic talent initiatives within dynamic organizational contexts.
  • Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between talent and other HR initiatives and business strategy as well as deep knowledge of HR policies, processes (e.g., workforce planning and talent management
