Summary
The Clinical Data Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the Medical Affairs team by compiling and analyzing clinical data, generating insights, and contributing to the development of evidence-based strategies. This role will work cross-functionally with both internal stakeholders across the organization and external collaborators to generate data insights for conference presentations, scientific publications and commercial messaging. This role requires understanding of clinical data, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate findings effectively. This individual will be a quick learner who thrives in a high growth environment and is passionate about shortening the diagnostic odyssey for patients through data.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive data analyses to support scientific research, conference presentations, and manuscript preparation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including medical writers, clinical program managers, clinicians, and researchers, to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Generate detailed reports and visualizations to communicate findings in a clear and concise manner to collaborative teams
- Contribute to the data analysis strategy for clinical research studies and commercial messaging, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation of results.
- Maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure data integrity and reproducibility.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of clinical data by implementing best practices in data management and quality control
- Stay current with the latest advancements in genetic testing and data science methodologies.
- Utilize standard statistical and computational methods to analyze genetic and clinical data.
- Additional duties maybe assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skills
- PhD in Genetics, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Genetic Epidemiology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical data analysis, preferably in the genetic testing or healthcare industry.
- Proficiency in statistical testing and programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of genetic data and clinical research methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of contributing to scientific publications and conference presentations.
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices.
- Familiarity with multifactorial statistical testing or predictive analytics methods in genetic testing and clinical research, preferred.
- Experience using cloud-based data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake or equivalent, preferred.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
Work Environment
- The role may require occasional travel.
- Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM EST.
