Vattenfall is now looking for Senior Project Manager to fill the position as Package Manager for Offshore Site Conditions & Loads reporting to the Head of the respective department within Engineering Offshore in BA Wind.

Overall purpose of the role:
The Site Conditions & Loads department is the competence centre for all site characterizing aspects of an offshore wind farm. We are supplying services, technical competences and project management for all site specific aspects all under one roof. We build on continuous improvement and entrepreneurial mind-set in order to develop the optimal solution at the sweet spot between a standardized windfarm and a project specific solution for our windfarms.

For our Site Conditions & Loads Department in Engineering within Business Unit Offshore Wind, we are now looking for a Senior Project Manager in the role of a Department-Package Manager to take care of all project management aspects at the interface between the four very specialized sub-departments Wind Resource & Production, Met-Ocean, Geoscience as well as Loads for our offshore wind farm projects in different development phases – from early project opportunity assessments over project execution to asset management of running windfarms.

Your job:
As our Package Manager for Site Conditions & Loads you will be responsible for connecting the subject matter experts in the four sub-departments with the projects by taking care of all project management aspects concerning our department overall and detailed subject matters as per below;

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Act as a role model and take personal responsibility for Health & Safety, safe behaviour and well-being at work
• Management of all site assessment work (wind resource & production, met-ocean, geoscience and load) related tasks from a department perspective as one package
• Being the central point of contact to the offshore wind projects
• Ensure proper project management between the projects and the sub-departments
• Coordinating, prioritizing and managing work tasks to the specialists in conjunction with project specific requirements to ensure timely delivery of services and work packages
• Ensuring stakeholder-, interface-, time-, quality- and risk-management of work packages in relation to project requirements
• Assist in planning and development of tasks related to wind resource & production, met-ocean, geoscience and loads related investigations and studies
• Contribute to levelized energy cost (LEC ) reduction
• Participate in project meetings by proactively promoting the role of Site Conditions & Loads
• Assist in resource planning and potential external support needs
• Manage external consultants/sub-contractors
• Communicate with project and line management on progress and issues
• Contribute to the overall management and initiatives in the Site Conditions & Loads department
• Represent Vattenfall and Offshore Engineering at industry level
