Job Description
BD-Medical-MMS-Pharmacy Automation is seeking a Director, Medication Adherence Portfolio that will be responsible for the profitable and scalable growth of our Medication Adherence Portfolio, inclusive of Pouch Packaging, Blister Packaging and associated Vision Products, which includes products from our legacy BD Parata and BD Rowa portfolios. This position will have overall accountability and leadership responsibility for business initiatives and development of key marketing programs to deliver the right portfolio to meet customer needs. This position will be accountable to ensure alignment of scope and execution of strategic business objectives.
The position will directly manage a team of product managers that identifies, validates, develops and supports execution of global market opportunities. This position will lead product management inclusive of customer needs assessment, product lifecycle management, market shaping, competitive assessment, and business case development. Successfully leading the team to secure required regulatory and claims approvals, delivering sustaining roadmap, and driving new line extensions and product development are key to this role. Making recommendations and trade-off decisions is an important part of the role. This role will report directly to VP / GM, Pharmacy Automation, and will be a member of the Global Pharmacy Automation Leadership Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish an effective, consistent, and standardized approach to product management for direct reports inclusive of customer needs assessment, product development, commercial excellence, US and global expansion, and customer acquisition models.
Initiate programs based on strategic business objectives.
Effectively engage customers directly and inspire associates on team to engage customers directly.
Ability to successfully work in core team driven environment.
Ensure program resource needs are clear and in place.
Engage in program workstreams to independently identify risks and either ensure adequate mitigation measures are in place or highlight need for additional support.
Good understating of financials, ability to develop business case, understand P&L.
Strong communication skills is needed.
Ensure effective and efficient regular formal and informal communications with team using a variety of tools and channels.
Effectively communicate program updates to manager, functional management, and executive leadership.
Convey risk v opportunity with recommendation on how to best proceed.
Data driven.
Lead, direct, coach, and mentor team members to maximize project success.
Hire, Lead, direct, coach and mentor team members to develop talent as needed.
Demonstrate leadership, learning agility and action orientation when facing uncertainty. Instill confidence through leadership and actions.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required, advanced healthcare or scientific degree preferred
7+ years’ experience in medical device industry, capital and software preferred.
Functional expertise with demonstrated success of product development execution, commercial excellence, US and global expansion, and customer acquisition models.
Ability to work as a strong team contributor.
Ability to be based in Durham, NC and travel to customers
