Commercial/Industrial HVAC/Boiler Technician

This is a full-time, direct placement role at L. J. Bogumil.

L. J. Bogumil, Inc. is a service company in northeast Pennsylvania. L. J. Bogumil takes pride in fielding knowledgeable and qualified craftsmen to maintain commercial & industrial liquid chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and other engineered process cooling & steam producing equipment. We are looking for an experienced commercial HVAC technician, familiar with heavy equipment, interested in utilizing their knowledge to further our team. We provide training on the equipment we service and sell.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs scheduled and unscheduled service and repairs on commercial and industrial HVAC, chiller, and boiler systems.
• Works in various installation, repair, maintenance, and service capacities individually and as part of a crew.
• Diagnosis of malfunctioning equipment to determine cause and appropriate corrective action.
• Manage construction site, read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals as applicable to new installations or assigned work orders and make materials lists.
• Installs, services, or replaces components including, but not limited to, boilers, burners, pumps, motors, bearings, valves, electronic operating, and level controls.
• Performs preventative maintenance tasks according to established protocols.
• Complete required documentation (i.e., work orders, purchase orders, etc.) for services performed.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of equipment, tools, materials, and vehicles utilized; ensures adherence to principles and practices of safe equipment use and operation.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass Federal criminal background check and drug test.
• Must have 15 years of field experience, to include a minimum of 5 years of verifiable employment with a single company.
• Must be EPA/CFC Certified.
