Description
The Department of Physics at Carnegie Mellon University invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow in observational cosmology and astrophysics working with Prof. Rachel Mandelbaum. The successful candidate will spend part of their time working on preparations for the Rubin Observatory Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) as part of the LINCC Frameworks team (https://lsstdiscoveryalliance.org/programs/lincc-frameworks/), and another part working on preparation for the Nancy Grace RomanSpace Telescope, or Euclid.
The successful applicant will join the McWilliams Center at Carnegie Mellon (website: https://www.cmu.edu/cosmology/) and will be encouraged to collaborate with other members of the Center, including the Physics faculty, other postdoctoral researchers, members of the LINCC Frameworks team, graduate students, and members of other relevant departments at CMU and the University of Pittsburgh.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Physics, Astronomy, or related fields by the time of appointment.
