What You'll Get To Do:

Serves as the primary contact with respect to all HR related issues. This position acts independently to resolve complex issues, make recommendations and decisions in scope. Escalates to and collaborates with HR Business Partner as needed.

Coaching and Consulting

  • Employee Relations: Demonstrate understanding of all HR program details and offerings. Assist employees, supervisors and managers with various employee relations issues. Seek additional information, as necessary. Key point of contact in assisting employees with Tier 1 and greater concerns. Collaborate with and partner with Employee Services as necessary on Tier 0 ER issues or questions if required.
  • Performance Management: Assist supervisors and managers in managing employee performance. Work with Management to write Performance Focus Action Plans and Performance Improvement Plans. Oversee timely follow up and resolution.
  • Recruitment: Oversees and ensures smooth recruitment process beginning with guiding hiring manager through job description, selection and hiring processes. Partner with staffing on status of open positions and recruitment issues and obstacles.
  • Compliance: Work closely with Compliance Specialist where complex matters of FMLA, Workers’ Comp and compliances issues touch on ER and, or performance. May support compliance projects as assigned.

Inquiry Resolution and Tracking

  • Serve as intermediate level contact for all HR related issues such as HR policy inquiry, benefits, pay, employee information updates, new hires and termination that cannot be resolved through Employee Services.
  • Determine necessary solutions and ensures resolution of all issues reported. Escalate issues as appropriate to HR Business Partner.
  • Serve as a resource for Employee Services employees on HR policy or Tier 0 employee relations issues.
  • Follow up on inquiries when resolution is not immediate to provide timing and action expectations.

Administrative and Professional Resources

  • Document and track inquiries with an appropriate level of detail. Maintain HR records by documenting incidents and problem resolution. Ensure Acuity reports are filed as per guidelines provided.
  • Provide support in partnership with corporate Compensation, Business and HR management on job descriptions, job design and internal equity related issues.
  • Support compliance with company policy and State and Federal laws. Ensure compliance with policies and practices, working with Employee Services on issues arising from I9, immigration and visa considerations.
  • Terminations, Conduct exit interviews as may be needed. Provide offboarding guidance to managers and employees upon notice of resignation. Support management regarding replacement and requisition process. Assist Human Resource Business Partner with reduction in force actions, including preparation of the business case, Adverse Impact Analysis, organizing the Benefits Summary Letter and separation agreements, employee notification , and setting up outplacement services.
  • Contribute as a project team member on various HR and business line initiatives.
  • Keeps self and others informed of professional HR trends and developments by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state of the art practices and participating in professional societies.
  • Work with IHR and outside counsel on Visa applications and sponsorships in coordinating.
  • Coordinate programs as may be assigned communicating new or updated topics. Examples may include onboarding, learning and development, and performance management.
  • Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3+ years HR related experience
