The Opportunity 

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you will organize, schedule, and assign work on production equipment, including daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual rebuilds. You will work closely with production management and maintenance personnel to ensure the facility meets required standards. Additionally, you will coach and develop Maintenance Mechanics and identify and implement process optimization projects in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. This permanent position will report to the Maintenance Manager and duties include but are not limited to the following; 

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and service plant equipment and facilities.
• Create, improve, manage, and expand preventative maintenance programs.
• Supervise and direct maintenance personnel.
• Model company values, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate facility and utility outages and upgrades.
• Develop solutions to plant-related problems.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Provide performance coaching to Maintenance Mechanics.
• Demonstrate professionalism in communication and behavior.
• Maintain records, files, instruction manuals, and necessary parts and supplies.
• Manage work orders in the inventory management system (SAP).
• Utilize GPS processes to drive zero losses and uphold company culture.
• Comply with occupational safety and health standards and food safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in maintenance or related field, or a minimum of two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of TPM and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Effective presentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in computing rate, ratio, and percent, and interpreting bar graphs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
