This position may be located in Fargo, ND or Morrisville, NC per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency. 

Your Responsibilities

 

This position will be initially filled in Fargo, ND and will require relocation to Morrisville, NC after 9-12 months.

 

As a Product Verification Engineering Supervisor for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG), you will provide daily supervision of administrative and technical issues for the Hardware Product Verification (PV) Team. This position is responsible for achieving timely completion of scheduled tests and improving Product Verification test efficiency for multiple development programs. You will work in a team environment and act as Lead, contributing to solutions for complex technical issues and wiil be responsible for direct reports within the Product Verification team. In addition, you will:

 

  • Supervise the implementation of PV testing for multiple programs to ensure that the product program goals are met.
  • Perform administrative duties related to performance management, salary pay plan, succession planning, resource planning, training, and development of direct reports.
  • Provide leadership, vision, mentoring, training, and counsel to employees in the PV team.
  • Provide technical support on PV related issues to cross-functional team members.
  • Be willing to relocate to Morrisville, NC after 9-12 months.

What Skills You Need

 

  • 5 or more years of experience with product design or testing of electronics
  • 1 or more years of supervisory experience or 2 or more years of experience directing a technical team
  • Understanding of Project Management
  • Good organization and prioritization skills (multi-tasking)
  • Good written and verbal communications skills (English)
  • Ability to independently interface with partners and customers

  • Knowledge of the Product Verification & Validation processes
  • Knowledge of the Product Delivery Process
  • Knowledge of test standards
  • Knowledge of the capital procurement process

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Ag Engineering from an accredited engineering program (or equivalent)
