Seaman Corporation is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team! This position will report to the Director of Finance.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position will support financial planning and analysis to support operational, financial and strategic decision-making. The position requires strong cost accounting, business acumen, analytics and spreadsheet skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Provides detailed cost accounting analysis and reporting to ensure accuracy of information reported to management
• Monitors inventory, manufacturing variances, scrap, price variances, raw material costs and manufacturing costs
• Calculates and tracks supplier rebate programs
• Establishes and monitors overhead rates
• Oversees the re-valuation of inventory and year-end physical inventory
• Supports the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term strategic planning processes.
• Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance with 5-10 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge and experience within cost accounting, analytics, and spreadsheet skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• CPA or CMA preferred.
