Data Analyst Intern

Join the SEL Quality department as a Data Analyst Intern where you will learn to turn data into actionable insights! Learn to source and combine data collected from multiple repositories, and apply statistical methods and models to create information packages for data driven business decisions relating to product quality and reliability. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, disciplined, and curious about relationships between data of different types. 

As a Data Analyst Intern, a typical day might include the following: 

• Analyzing data from multiple sources and building presentations to highlight trends in the data. 

• Developing ways to avoid and deter data inconsistencies at the source in addition to reviewing, validating, researching, cleaning and transforming those inconsistencies. 

• Supporting analysts to improve existing reports and data sources. 

• Following and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. 

This job might be for you if: 

• You are a current student at a local university pursuing a degree in Analytics, Math, or Statistics. 

• You display strong attention to detail. 

• You have strong mathematical and statistical analysis skills. 

• You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills. 

• You are experienced with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Power BI, and MS Access. 

• You have a demonstrated ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific information. 

• You can work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment. 

• Experience with analytic programming languages.

Pay Range Data

($16.30 – $21.00 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role and your expected graduation date. Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
