San Ramon Regional Medical Center began serving residents of the San Ramon Valley and its surrounding communities in 1990. Located on a hillside overlooking the valley, we are a 123-bed, acute-care hospital, primary stroke center, and a cardiac heart surgery hospital. Summary

Under the direction of the Market Director of Education, executes and adapts Tenet’s organizational education strategic plan and manages educational activities for San Ramon Regional Medical Center. Supports organization-wide staff development by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programs for the hospital staff and community members. Directs and coordinates educational activities in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, and within the administrative policies of SRRMC.  Requires general knowledge of regulatory agency requirements, Board of Registered Nurses (BRN) guidelines, and all continuing education accreditation standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree required

Master’s degree strongly preferred

 

Minimum Experience/Skills:

Five (5) years of recent experience in acute care setting, prefer Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) experience

Demonstrated experience in acute-care based education program development and management

Demonstrated teaching ability

Intermediate excel proficiency

Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:

Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of California

Pay range: $62.2 Minimum - $99.52 Maximum an hour 

Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience

Supports the educational needs for assigned units/clinics including classroom, clinical experiences, and learning technologies. Implements Tenet comprehensive education programs to meet the orientation and ongoing competency needs and professional development needs of the nursing staff, with specific focus for his/her units/clinics, which supports the Tenet model of professional nursing practice. Ensures all program/course revisions meet the Department of Nursing and regulatory expectations and standards. Adheres to national education practice standards and stays abreast of current research into nursing education practice. Programs are executed and revised based on adult learning principles, organizational, and learning theory consistent with Tenet endorsed philosophy and direction.
