Molnlycke is now hiring a Maintenance Supervisor in our Brunswick, Maine Facility!

The Maintenance Supervisor directs manufacturing maintenance technicians in performing preventative and reactive maintenance. This role supports technical efforts during equipment upgrades and new product introductions, working closely with local and corporate engineering departments. The supervisor ensures adequate spare parts and tool inventories are maintained to minimize downtime events.

 

Work/Life Balance:

  • Work schedule: Five eight-hour days per week, with occasional overtime and weekend work.
  • On-call support during off hours/weekends for production or maintenance issues.
  • Some domestic and foreign travel may be required.

What you’ll do:

  • Preventative Maintenance: Ensure timely and effective preventative maintenance on process equipment to minimize reactive maintenance events.
  • Reactive Maintenance: Direct and perform troubleshooting and maintenance on process equipment, including flexibility for night and weekend work.
  • Equipment Support: Collaborate with engineers on equipment changes and maintenance schedules.
  • Contractor Management: Manage outside contractors as needed.
  • Spare Parts Management: Report spare part stocking levels and maintain necessary tooling.
  • Budget Adherence: Ensure maintenance activities adhere to budget items.
  • Training: Train current and new technicians and maintain training documentation.
  • Work Orders: Generate and issue work orders, and enter data into Maximo.
  • Best Practices: Implement best practices to improve production, quality, and safety.

Key Decisions

  • Direct maintenance activities for manufacturing assets.
  • Select and supervise maintenance department technicians.
  • Develop preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Select vendors for tools, spare parts, and outside services.
  • Manage technical resources during equipment modifications and new product introductions.
  • Source spares for backup and cost savings.

What You’ll Need:

  • 4-year degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Prior experience in supervising factory maintenance activities.
  • Hands-on, flexible attitude with good communication skills.
  • Experience with process controls, GMP, ISO 9000/ISO 13485, PLCs, Maximo, Lean, and 5S preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, NEC) preferred.
