This is a newly created role that will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining quotes. 

 

The Position

As our new Quotation Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and managing quotes. You will work with salespeople to ensure accurate and timely quotes that align with customer needs. Initially, your focus will be on price setting and the quoting process. However, we also expect you to support us in dealing with smaller customers and their various commercial requests.  Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Creating and updating quotes for customers and internal stakeholders including price setting and input to terms and conditions
• Owning and managing the CPQ tool, ensuring accurate and timely quotes, whilst developing the tool to make it fit our business needs
• Providing support to the sales team in the creation, interpretation, and explanation of quotes
• Providing support to the sales team in dealing and managing their smaller less frequently transacting customers
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date pricing and product information in the CPQ tool
• Implementing pricing strategies that align with business goals together with our new Pricing Strategy Manager
• Analyzing quote data to identify growth opportunities and provide insights and recommendations to the Sales & Marketing organization

Qualifications:

Many paths can lead to this job. You might currently work in inside sales role, a similar sales support role or be fully dedicated to the quotation process.  However, we believe it is critical to your success, that you have strong analytical focus, since you need to analyze and decide on ideal prices to be set in our quotes and CPQ tool. Moreover, we are looking for someone with years of experience in having conversations with sellers in regular cadence. You should have keen eye for details and strong focus on processes. Specifically, we imagine that you have:

• A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in creating and managing commercial quotes, product ownership, or inside sales
• Familiarity with a CPQ tool and related and processes, as well as pricing and quoting standards and regulations
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with an ample focus on customer centricity
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
