Capability Unit
Metrea Strategic Mobility (MSM) operates a fleet of KC-135 aircraft, offering an air-to-air refueling service that seamlessly, safely, and professionally integrates into military aviation training and operations.
Position Summary
A 360-degree leader with demonstrated past performance leading large organizations in complex environments. The Aircraft Maintenance Operations Manager of MSM serves as the senior technical expert between Maintenance Leadership and Flight Operations. Achieves and maintains superior contract execution, product delivery, and customer satisfaction. Supports follow-on business development for MSM’s programs/customers.
Roles and Responsibilities
- The position will be responsible for synchronizing efforts between Maintenance Leadership, Flight Operations, Technical Services, and Logistics/Supply in the development of executable and actionable plans for scheduled aircraft maintenance repair activities.
- Utilizes maintenance information system for maintenance planning activities as well as the recording of completed maintenance actions.
- Determines maintenance capabilities to aid in developing extended downtime maintenance schedules.
- Coordinates with directorate leadership to ensure support is available to meet schedules.
- Reconciles flying hour data.
- Tracks key maintenance metrics.
- Coordinates scheduled maintenance execution with the Maintenance Director and Operations and monitors workload requirements.
- Ensures and advises the Director of Maintenance and Logistics of maintenance capabilities, limiting production factors, and adherence to maintenance schedules.
- Uses an automated system to monitor and analyze aircraft data to find trends to assist in preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Monitors programs in place to delayed discrepancy; TCTO, TD, MD, and engine subsystems.
- Knowledge of military aviation maintenance principles, practices, and processes.
- Ability to plan and orchestrate major aircraft sustainment programs at the enterprise level.
- Strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.
- Excellent communication skills, verbally and in written format, for briefing and presentation delivery to program employees, management, and customers.
- Strong safety ethic and experience.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit and proven motivational leadership across a diverse and highly skilled workforce.
- Exercises utmost discretion and confidentiality.
- Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance.
Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.

Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Aircraft maintenance information software systems (Veryon and Amos)
