THE ROLE: Sr. Infrastructure Engineer, Platform Ops

Job Summary:

As a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer in Platform Ops with Presidio, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the Data Collection Appliance (DCA) environment, with a strong emphasis on managing and securing the underlying Cisco networking and Palo Alto firewall infrastructure. This role ensures the integrity and security of data collection through effective OS management, virtualization, networking, DevOps practices, and scripting capabilities.

Travel Requirements:

This is a remote role and will require minimal travel (up to 5%).

Job Responsibilities:

• Configure and provide advanced technical support for network security in a mixed Cisco and Palo Alto environment
• Monitor network performance and conduct regular system tests to ensure security
• Maintain and administer the DCA environment, including OS and virtualization layer
• Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks and enhancing operational efficiency
• Apply DevOps principles to streamline processes and improve system reliability
• Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues that arise
• Document network configuration, operational procedures, and network topology

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in Cisco networking and network security practices
• Proficiency with core concepts of Palo Alto firewalling including VPN configuration and troubleshooting
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash and Python
• Proficiency with Ubuntu OS and Linux-based systems
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, specifically Git
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently

Additional Desired Skills:

• Experience with cloud services and migrations
• Experience with OpenVPN configuration and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of automation tools and frameworks
• Understanding of modern DevOps methodologies and best practices

Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Infrastructure Engineering or related roles
• CCNA (R/S) and CCNP certifications are required
