Overview
Lead technical efforts in Nitinol metrology for components, driving innovation in measurement techniques and tooling. This role combines hands-on expertise with mentorship, supporting rapid prototyping and production transition. The ideal candidate brings expert metrology and visual inspection knowledge, a background in micron scale measurements, and a good history of using non-contact vision systems for measurement.
Responsibilities
- - Program various measurement systems to obtain passing TMV and GRR results.
- - Serve as a technology leader, training teams and sharing best practices across sites.
- - Collaborate on Lightspeed rapid prototyping and seamless production transitions.
- - Mentor peers in setup, troubleshooting, and process development.
- - Ensure compliance with ISO-certified systems, quality documentation, and best measurement practices.
- - Own and monitor data accuracy, ensuring metrics align with site goals and maintaining data integrity.
- - Lead cross-functional teams in R&D, Advanced Technology Group (ATG) initiatives, and production readiness projects.
- - Evaluate system designs, perform testing/validation, and document process parameters.
- - Identify unmet customer needs and recommend new technologies to improve system performance.
- - Proactively communicate with customers, providing solutions and recovery plans for issues.
- - Drive continuous improvement initiatives across departments, advancing Resonetics’ technologies and processes.
Qualifications
- Expertise in non-contact vision system programming.
- - Proficiency in metrology, especially medical device materials.
- - Knowledge of Nitinol-specific measurement methodologies (e.g. DSC, BFR, Radial Force)
- - Familiarity with ISO-certified quality systems and GD&T standards.
- - Experience in validations (e.g., TMV, GRR, OQ/PQ).
- - Ownership of data metrics and monitoring for accuracy.
- - Strong communication, leadership, and project management abilities.
- - Preferred: Master’s/PhD, medical device manufacturing experience, Micro-VU programming knowledge.
- - Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- - Ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
- - Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
- - Leadership in cross-functional teams and continuous improvement efforts.
Compensation
Pay Range: $130,000-$165,000
