The Powertrain Operations Team is responsible for supporting advanced engineering development activities throughout the Powertrain organization, including prototype build and test of hardware for Lucid Motors’ next generation HV Battery, Drive Unit, and Power Electronics programs at our headquarters in Newark, CA.
We are currently seeking an Equipment Maintenance Supervisor. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
- Analyze equipment repair and maintenance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Create reports and present recommendations to reduce downtime and optimize performance.
- Perform root cause analysis on equipment issues. Lead hands-on troubleshooting and repairs to resolve problems. Implement best practices for safety, quality, and reliability.
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans to maximize equipment uptime and adhere to schedules.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on production targets and goals in relation to equipment needs. Review and prioritize work orders.
- Investigate equipment problems. Work with cross-functional teams to determine root cause and recommend sustainable corrective actions. Manage and report on solution implementation.
- Establish efficient maintenance procedures and spare parts inventory management to optimize costs. Research and purchase necessary maintenance materials.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in equipment maintenance, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
- Outstanding analytical systematic hands-on technical problem-solving abilities.
- Deep technical knowledge across a wide range of equipment including PLCs, robots, adhesive dispense, mechanical and electronic test equipment, dynamometers, process ovens, chillers.
- Excellent organization, project management and leadership skills.
- Passion for continuous improvement.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a broad cross functional team.
- Proactive mindset and ability to thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Knowledge of reliability principles and root cause analysis
