<p> </p> <p> </p> <p> Position description  </p> <p> </p> <p>The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) imposes obligations and stricter requirements on all organisations involved in the processing of personal data of EU Citizens, emphasising transparency, security and accountability.</p> <p>We are now looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Data Protection Specialist to work with the ESB Customer Solutions Governance and Data Protection Manager to ensure our ongoing compliance with GDPR Regulation and the protection of customer data.</p> <p>As a Data Protection Specialist, you will manage and respond to Data Protection queries, and work closely with the business in monitoring their adherence to the GDPR Regulation. </p> <p> </p> <p>You will also work closely with all ESB Customer Solutions business units and our outsource partners to ensure adherence to Data Protection Requirements and ensure that a “Privacy by Design” approach is taken in the design and execution of processes involving personal data.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Key Responsibilities </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Manage the Data Breach process across ESB Customer Solutions and its Outsource Partners in accordance with GDPR. </li> <li>Coordinate Data Protection Subject Access Requests for ESB Customer Solutions </li> <li>Support business units in implementing Privacy by Design through the completion of DPIA (Data Protection Impact Assessments) </li> <li>Support business units in the ongoing review and management of their Records of Processing (ROP’s)</li> <li>Provide on-going training and information awareness in respect of data protection requirements across the organisation and its Outsourcing Partners </li> <li>Complete Data Protection compliance audits in accordance with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner audit standards, including any Outsource Partner premises where appropriate </li> <li>Respond rapidly to requests from all Third Parties with whom ESB Customer Solutions engage with to ensure that such parties are in compliance with GDPR.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Experience and Qualifications </p> <p> </p> <p>Essential  </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Experienced Data Protection professional with proven experience in Data Protection or similar compliance role.</li> <li>Relevant Data Protection qualification e.g., PDP Practitioner Certificate or CDPP/CIPP/CIPT</li> <li>3+ years’ experience in a similar role within GDPR/Data protection</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of ESB processes, systems and controls and/ or an appropriate 3rd level qualification in business, IT or a related discipline</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, communication and report-writing skills </li> <li>Ability to influence key stakeholders and manage relationships </li> <li>Ability to work off own initiative</li> <li>Innovative thinker and strong organisational skills.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Desirable </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Previous experience conducting compliance/ information security audits </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Location </p> <p> </p> <p>This position will be based in on-site at Swift Square, Santry</p> <p> </p> <p><em>ESB is committed to smart working – combining digital tools with a culture of trust and empowerment to enable flexible ways of working.
