Job Description
Responsible for market development, prospecting, account management, and credit underwriting for Digital Infrastructure account portfolio. Collaborates with the team to develop, market, and underwrite comprehensive financial solutions for customers involving all of the CoBank products. Manages directly and indirectly the overall profitability and credit quality of a loan portfolio. Approves or recommends credit decisions as appropriate. Implements marketing and account servicing plans. Provides value-added advisory and credit structuring consultation to customers, and credit underwriting. Maintains effective relationships with governmental, industry, and financial groups to enhance financial performance and business effectiveness. Supports CoBank's engagement of and collaboration with the Farm Credit System and Capital Markets.
Essential Functions
- Manages the day-to-day customer relationship of accounts. Meets regularly with customers and gathers information on their businesses, needs, strategic direction, and earnings to determine business opportunities.
- Calls on potential or existing customers to develop new business and increase or retain existing business.
- Cross-markets CoBank’s products and services to meet goals for assigned accounts. Implements plans to capitalize on marketing opportunities.
- Contributes to the development and analysis of financial data for new or renewed financing arrangements.
- Recommends decisions on loan terms and loan servicing actions within approved limits on assigned accounts.
- Manages to profitability and credit quality targets for portfolio.
- Provides guidance to credit analysis area in the development and analysis of financial background data for new or renewed loans.
- Prudently services accounts to protect CoBank and minimize losses.
- Maintains broad expertise in Digital Infrastructure account portfolio, keeping abreast of industry trends, technology, regulatory requirements and the competitive environment. Develops additional competencies and knowledge of Regional, Large Corporate/Sponsor, or Data Center/Tower coverage, including studying industrial, commercial, and financial situations relating to new or existing businesses in these segment(s) as requested. Provides guidance or advice to customers as appropriate.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required
- MBA or Masters preferred
Work Experience
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a commercial, corporate, project finance and/or investment banking environment required
- Prior experience in the digital infrastructure industry preferred
- Knowledge of fundamental commercial lending, loan structuring, financing alternatives, collateral concepts and syndicated loan structures.
- Advanced knowledge of Digital Infrastructure financial cash flow modeling and auditing functions.
- Knowledge of technical standards, industry trends, technology and regional/national regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of competitive environment and practices in the Digital Infrastructure industry.
- Proven ability to analyze credits, contracts, legal documents, technical reports and various deal structures.
- Ability to produce marketing presentations for potential and existing customers.
