Summary
Kreofsky Building Supplies, a fourth-generation family-owned business, is hiring a Commercial Lumberyard Driver for our Winona, MN location.

Position Summary The Commercial Lumberyard Driver is responsible for safely delivering building materials, assisting with yard operations, and supporting both team members and customers. The ideal candidate must hold a valid CDL Class B (or higher) license. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and prepare loads for delivery 
  • Safely deliver building materials to customers and job sites 
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials for deliveries and customer pickups 
  • Help unload and organize incoming stock in the lumberyard 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment 
  • Communicate vehicle maintenance needs or issues to the Lumberyard Foreman 
  • Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, climbing, walking, and handling materials 
Additional Duties
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently 
  • Lift and carry 50+ pounds on a regular basis 
  • Assist with general yard and warehouse organization and cleaning 
  • Attend required safety meetings and training sessions 
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL Class B or higher required) 
  • Experience operating boom trucks 
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented 
  • Ability to perform consistent physical labor 
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude 
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team 
  • Good time management skills 
Experience & Skills
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools 
  • Familiarity with building materials and lumberyard operations preferred 
  • Ability to learn and accurately read internal paperwork (e.g., Spruce system) 
  • Basic problem-solving abilities 
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday 
  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Must be able to commute to or relocate to Winona and Plainview.
Compensation
  • Pay based on experience 
Substance Abuse TestingDue to the safety and/or security sensitive nature of this classification, individuals shall be subject to pre-employment or pre-placement alcohol, drug and/or controlled substance testing as outlined in the handbook. Certain positions within this class are subject to DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing as outlined in 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 382 (by assignment).  Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
