Position Description
Lindsay Corporation is hiring a new IT Helpdesk Specialist to join our corporate IT team. We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative professional who has a real desire to help people, passionate about IT, possess trouble shooting skills, analytical and process oriented to work with internal users by providing help desk support for both on premise and remote users. This role will ensure proper computer operation which includes maintain and supporting hardware, printers, software, and AV equipment’s to ensure optimal performance.
Position Details
This is a full-time position located at Lindsay’s global headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. The selected individual will work a flexible, hybrid schedule, where core in-office days are Tuesday-Thursday.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as a first point of contact for phone calls, emails, chat and tickets from end users regarding technology issues and queries for onsite support
- Assisting with the setup of desktops, laptops, and thin client’s units
- Load software packages such as networking components, operating systems and various applications following documented procedures
- Troubleshoot software and hardware failures and provide end-users with solutions or escalate issues as needed
- Conduct and maintain inventory on technology equipment.
- Provide technology orientation to new hires and existing users.
- Take ownership of user incidents/requests and follow up the status on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner
- Follows documented processes to ensure tickets are created and closed promptly to meet or exceed customer expectations and department goals.
- Support Print, DHCP, DNS and File Share services along with Active Directory / Microsoft Exchange support.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in IT user support
- Proven ability to support basic workstation and portable hardware, software, printers, AV, and networking.
- Ability to support Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft 365.
- Basic understanding of Windows 2008-16 servers, desirable.
- Basic understanding of network switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN, desirable.
